Action Requires Courage

Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong.  There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right.  To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires…Courage!

Sometimes we all need help to get to the end game.  DOSM’s, VP’s of Marketing, don’t fear getting help from third parties.  I have a friend that owns three very successful restaurants.  He has always actively used third party consultants to keep his compass on track.  Third Party consultants and strategists are not out to get you fired, but on the contrary to make you look good by bridging the gaps that have been left by staff reductions.

When you are looking at your overall marketing strategy, you always need to consider resources.  It will be to your benefit to have multiple resources available to you.  I liken it to research staff for a court judge.  Judges don’t have time to research all of the information that is presented to them by opposing attorneys.  They have people to do that for them.  In these times, we all need the resources to help us execute the plan.
